March 27, 2020
With the coronavirus pandemic in full force, we must adapt to the reality of how we all must change our daily lives. At Mahihkan Bus Lines we must adapt to these challenging times as everyone is doing their part to self quarantine, which results in less people travelling.
Mahihkan Bus Lines has been continuously monitoring Covid-19 updates closely everyday and we have temporarily closed our Thompson Depot until further notice. The Pas Depot will open one hour before the 9:30pm scheduled departure. Our agent depots will promote social distancing and follow all other recommendations made by public health authorities.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Winnipeg Depot at 204-783-9154 as they will continue to be operating on normal business hours.
We all must do our part to ensure we get through this together.

Re: Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Mahihkan Bus Lines provides vital transportation services within Manitoba and across North America. With the likely continued spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we understand that people may be feeling concerned about the safety of public transit; we take this very serious.
Our company has always prioritized cleanliness and disinfecting of our equipment with commercial grade cleaners. This include nightly disinfecting of all high-touch areas in all our buses, regular deep cleaning and wipe downs. During the COVID-19 outbreak, and always, we want to ensure our passengers that we have taken necessary steps to ensure cleanliness and disinfectant of our buses.
Mahihkan Bus Lines top priorities are to insure safe and healthy protocols are continued and to have our employees work in a safe and healthy environment.
How can I reduce my risk of infection?
Good hand hygiene provides significant protection from viral respiratory illnesses.
Hand washing regularly with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Make sure to dry your hands thoroughly. Or, you can use an alcohol-based hand cleanser if your hands are not visibly unclean.
Stop touching your face, viruses enter our bodies through our eyes, nose and mouth.
Social distancing – keeping a distance of 1 meter (3 feet), disengaging in handshaking and touching.
